Final year Retail Management student Vernon Barns has received one of the Institute of Directors Studentships.
For the first time ever, The Institute of Directors offered student membership to their organisation.
The memberships were advertised to students back in October and students had to complete a dual questionnaire/IoD application to apply.
The applicants were judged on the quality of their application and successful applicants were notified at the end of 2012.
The benefits of the Student IoD membership are numerous:
- personal, confidential support from a ‘guru panel’,
- a placement and internship notice-board advertising work experience opportunities,
- access to an exclusive IoD crowd-funding community for those wanting to set up their own businesses.
- Access to all local and national IoD events with opportunity to meet and share ideas with senior business professionals from a range of business sectors.
Congratulations to Vernon on this great achievement!
