The askBU team have been busy answering questions from our prospective students. There have been lots of questions from those of you wanting to join us in September 2016, so here are some answers…

Do you accept City & Guilds in Key Skills Level 2 Maths and English, as part of the minimum entry academic requirements, instead of GCSEs?

If your certificate states Key Skills Level 2 then yes we will accept this qualification. Saying that if your qualification states Numeracy or Maths Level 2, then you will need to resit.

When can I apply for a course starting in September 2016?

UCAS, who you will need to make your application though, will start accepting applications from mid-September. You’ll need to aim to get your applications to them by 15 January 2015 to make an ‘on time’ application.

When is your first Undergraduate Open Day?

Our first full Open Day is Saturday 24 October. You can book on to the event and see the other dates on our Open Days web page. We really recommend attending an Open Day to get a feel for BU!
