Halls, houses, hotels and host families! BU has accommodation options for all tastes, needs and budgets.

We’ve a number of Halls at our Lansdowne campus for the traditional first year experience. All have communal areas, en-suite rooms, Internet, launderettes and bike storage. They’re also walking distance to town for shops, restaurants, bars, and the beautiful beach. With Chesil above a Co-Op, Cranbourne by the Old Fire Station, Dorchester near Asda, and Lyme Regis and Purbeck somewhere in between we have it all covered. With between 3 and 6 flatmates instant friends come free!

Over at Student Village on the Talbot campus are clusters of 3 to 7 bed houses for the ultimate shared house experience. All have kitchens where you can make your beans on toast and a lounge to mingle with housemates. Bathrooms are communal too. There’s no car parking but bike racks are provided, and with a launderette on-site there’s no need to send dirty laundry home!

Corfe House in Poole offers a beautiful harbour setting for those looking for something different whilst Unilets (shared houses) are great for those seeking independence and some even have available car parking.  For catered options there are local hotels and friendly host families, a home away from home.

You can apply once your offer from BU has turned Unconditional, in other words you’ve passed your exams and met our entry requirements. Advice from the Accommodation Office is never far away.
