CIPPM Director Professor Dinusha Mendis and CIPPM member Dr. Lingling Wei attended the Network of IP Academies (NIPA) Annual Conference 2025, which took place between 3-4 December in Alicante.

Organised by the EUIPO – European Union Intellectual Property Office and Universitat d’Alacant the NIPA Conference provided the opportunity to convene and collaborate with other university members of the NIPA network.

Professor Mendis also presented at the event, in giving an insight into Bournemouth University’s flagship LLB IP unit which brings together students from law and engineering for their final year assessment. Exchanging ideas and initiatives in this manner, provided an excellent opportunity for fruitful discussion and engagement.

Participants also had the opportunity to hear from representatives from the European Patent Office, World Intellectual Property Organisation, China Intellectual Property Training Center, United States Patent and Trade Mark Office, Brazilian National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI), the new formed Copyright Knowledge Centre as well as many more.

CIPPM is delighted to celebrate its tenth year in 2026 as a member of the  Pan-European Seal Professional Traineeship Programme in partnership with the EUIPO and EPO.
