The academic staff within the department have made, and will continue to make, a substantial contribution to academic knowledge and understanding through the writing of high-quality academic journal papers and books. This is often done in cooperation with current or past PhD students as part of knowledge co-creation. The department is also home to the editors of four key international tourism and hospitality journals. In addition, many of the staff are members of the Board of Editors of academic journals and act as reviewers of journal papers. The department hosts its own conferences and members of academic staff also serve on the scientific committees of other conferences.
As a PhD student you will receive high-quality, one-to-one supervision. You will have the opportunity to discuss your work, and the work of other PhD students, with your fellow students (including those from other departments within the faculty) and academic staff.
