Prof Tom Wainwright was honoured to be invited to visit Singapore last week by the Singaporean Ministry of Health as a visiting expert to share ORI’s research and experience in Enhanced Recovery after Surgery protocols for orthopaedic surgery.
He was warmly welcomed by his hosts Dr Kelvin Tan and Dr Tan Tong Leng from Tan Tock Seng Hospital, and had the opportunity to visit and deliver lectures/workshops at five hospitals, to audiences including surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses, and allied health professionals.
Prof Wainwright said “It was hugely enjoyable trip, brilliantly organised by my hosts, and I hope to continue to collaborate with the surgical teams I met, and also with colleagues at the National University of Singapore who I also had meetings with”.
