Together with the BU Computer & Security Society (BUCSS) and BU’s Computer Emergency Response Team (BU-CERT), CIPPM is pleased to host UN’s Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) for a workshop exploring Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) from both a cybersecurity and cybercrime perspective.
The team from UNICRI will present the latest developments on emerging threats to Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) and infringements and various initiatives which have been developed to counter these challenges such as the European Multidisciplinary Platform Against Criminal Threats (EMPACT).
Intellectual Property crime is a specific aim under the EMPACT’s “Fraud, economic and financial crimes” pillar, and will be explored at the workshop.
The event will take place on 10th March 2022, from 14.00-16.00 in FG06.
