Elizabeth Bailey is a PhD student under the supervision of Professor Dinusha Mendis and Dr Panos Amelidis. Elizabeth’s research involves a study of intellectual property law, specifically music copyright and how it has developed to deal with co-created, collaborative musical works.
Elizabeth graduated with an LLB (Hons) Law, Media and Creative Industries from Bournemouth University in 2021 as a mature student. After 20 years of teaching music and working in the banking industry she decided to change her career path and move into Law. She is combining her experience of being a classically trained musician with Intellectual Property.
