Four Visiting Research Fellows join CIPPM / Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence this autumn as part of the short-term residential fellowship programme 2019
Christine Riefa, Reader in Law at Brunel University Law school, is researcher at the intersection of consumer law and internet law. She has joined CIPPM to work on a project for a research monograph on Global E-Commerce and Consumer Protection. On 18 September she presented her research on a research seminar Definition of standards for global e-commerce and consumer protection at the WTO: what can be learnt from TRIPS?
Indranath Gupta is Professor of Law at the Jindal Global Law School of O P Jindal Global University (India), working on liability if internet intermediaries in a comparative perspective. In his seminar Liability of internet intermediaries: the Indian experience, professor Gupta gave new insights into emerging trends in judicial approaches to safe harbour provisions.
Katarina Krapež is Assistant Professor of Law at University of Primorska in Slovenia, and is currently hosted by Bournemouth University as visiting professor for the Autumn term 2019. Dr Krapež is carrying out research on legal aspects of scientific publishing, with emphasis on copyright and science. She joined the LLM teaching team of Cyberlaw.
Ana Santos Rutschman, Assistant Professor at Saint Louis University School of Law (USA) and faculty member of the Center for Health Law Studies, will carry out research on legal and policy issues surrounding 3D printing of vaccines, as part of a larger project on the IP-related issues of the development of new vaccines. Her research seminar Vaccines as Technology is scheduled for 11 December 2019.
