On 4th and 5th May 2017, CREATe, University of Glasgow hosted an early career research camp with the aim being “to exchange useful knowledge … and to impart strategies for successful career progression (both in academia and industry), and to map out and launch an affiliate research network for junior researchers.”
Over the 2 days, participants were given the opportunity to network and benefit from presentations delivered by UK and international scholars in intellectual property law, innovation policy, economics and social science. A full list of speakers including information about the event can be accessed here.
CIPPM Co-Director, Professor Dinusha Mendis was an invited speaker at the event and outlined her experience in working with and providing evidence to policy makers.
On the 1st day the participants were invited to form groups and on the 2nd day, the group members were invited to ‘pitch’ project proposals and ideas to a panel of judges.
As for the winners … Emile Douilhet was part of the team that won the CREATe prize for their winning pitch! Well done to Emile and the team.
