Director

Dinusha Mendis is Professor of Intellectual Property and Innovation Law at Bournemouth University and Director of the Centre for Intellectual Property, Policy & Management. Professor Mendis specialises in copyright law, copyright policy and the challenges to IP as a result of new and emerging technologies and has conducted extensive independent and funded research paticularly in the areas of 3D printing, blockchain, Metaverse, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and deepfake technology and has published widely in this area. She was Deputy Dean (Research) in the Faculty of Media and Communication between 2020-2022.
