Objectives: To assess clinical outcomes in the year post surgery for patients undergoing robotic-arm assisted total hip replacement through: monitoring of surgery-related complications and readmissions; accuracy of component positioning; progress of rehabilitation following surgery using functional and objective measures including analysis of gait and muscle strength testing; patient reported outcome measures following surgery. To assess surgery-related resource use for patients undergoing hip replacement using the Mako robot. To measure physical activity prior to surgery, and for the first 6 weeks following discharge from the hospital.
