Professor Middleton delivers hugely successful public lecture on how to avoid hip surgery

Last week, over 200 people arrived at St Mark’s Church, Highcliffe, to listen to Head of ORI, Professor Robert Middleton, talk about how to avoid hip surgery. The talk focused on the key things that can help to manage hip arthritis and avoid a hip replacement, such as exercise and weight loss, and included updates on the importance of protein, calcium, vitamin D and resistance exercise for health musculoskeletal aging. The attendees gave very positive feedback, with many saying, “it was very informative.”
