Congratulations to Professor Robert Middleton, who this week performed his 500th Mako Robotic Assisted Hip Replacement at Bournemouth Nuffield Health.
This fantastic achievement makes Prof Middleton the first surgeon in Europe to achieve this milestone.
Prof Middleton remarked “This is a massive team effort. I would like to thank colleagues from Stryker and the whole Nuffield Health team. We have worked together to bring this new technology to Dorset for the benefit of our patients. It is really exciting to be leading the way in this field, and to be performing research in conjunction with the Orthopaedic Research Institute at Bournemouth University to help define the functional benefits to patients.”
