Dr. Francesco Ferraro comes from a sports science background. In 2016 during his MSc (hons) he produced an award-winning thesis to look at the effects of single and dual tasks on balance with young adults.
In 2019 he completed a PhD in physiology and biomechanics that looked at the effect of inspiratory muscle training on balance and functional mobility with older adults
Recently he applied for a position as Research Assistant at Nuffield Hospital in Bournemouth.
He is currently collaborating with the Orthopaedic Research Institute to evaluate the health outcomes after a Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted Total Hip replacement (HELLO Study Trial).
