Comments on time as Prof Middleton (ORI) Fellow:

My fellowship with Prof Middleton was a very important step in my career. Not only I became a high-volume arthroplasty surgeon but had the opportunity to understand the importance of medical leadership and management in the healthcare environment. Prof Middleton taught me how to make plans clear for everyone, how to introduce and sustain changes. During my tenure I had the chance to perform more than 200 primary arthroplasties and take part of the managerial responsibility for the arthroplasty unit of Royal Bournemouth Hospital.
