ORI Visiting Fellow awarded Gold Award for Excellence from NHS England

Matt Low

ORI Visiting Fellow and Consultant Physiotherapist, Matt Low, has been awarded the Gold Award for Excellence by the Chief Allied Health Professions Officer for NHS England. The award has been developed “to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence, where a significant, outstanding and exceptional contribution has been made by individual members of the allied health professional (AHP) community in England in their work; consistently leading by example, demonstrating strong NHS values and high levels of commitment and quality throughout their role”.

Matt said “I am very proud and honoured to have received this prestigious inaugural award. It means a lot to be recognised at a national level and be amongst the 22 well deserving recipients across the diverse allied health professional workforce in NHS England…Receiving this award would not have been possible without my colleagues and friends at University Hospitals Dorset and this award is as much for them as it is for me.”

Professor Tom Wainwright, Deputy Head of ORI, said “It is a brilliant achievement, and Matt is thoroughly deserving of this award. We are delighted to be able to collaborate and support his work here at ORI, and it is fantastic for both the university and the hospital to have Matt’s expertise and leadership within our organisations”.
