Surgical trainees supported with VR simulation

Virtual reality simulation training

Over the past few months, Professor Middleton‘s Clinical Hip Fellow, Mr Nishil Modi has been offering surgical trainees from across the Wessex Deanery the opportunity to hone their surgical skills on the VR surgical simulators at ORI.

Nishil has been teaching his colleagues in small groups and reports, “it has been great to see local surgeons benefiting from the world-class facilities at ORI. We have received very positive feedback from the sessions and we are looking forward to supporting more surgeons with their learning in the future.”
ORI has an extensive range of VR simulators and members of the ORI team have published a wide range of peer-reviewed articles on VR topics.
