Congratulations to Professor Tom Wainwright who on a recent trip to China was awarded a Visiting Professorship at Lanzhou University. Lanzhou University is noted for being one of China’s premier institutions of higher learning with its position as the best university in Northwestern China, and is closely affiliated to the First Hospital of Lanzhou University.
Whilst in China, Professor Wainwright delivered a keynote lecture on the topic of Orthopaedic Enhanced Recovery after Surgery at the 2023 Lanzhou Enhanced Recovery After Diseases and Ambulatory Surgery International Academic Conference, and visited the First Hospital of Lanzhou University.
Professor Wainwright commented, “It was a fantastic experience to meet and discuss ERAS with Chinese and international colleagues. I am very thankful to the First Hospital of Lanzhou University for the invitation and generous hospitality, and I was deeply honoured to be awarded the Professorship at Lanzhou University. I am looking forward to further collaboration on clinical, research, and educational projects”.
