Congratulation to Prof Ian Swain who has recently been honoured as a Life Patron of the Spinal Injuries Charity INSPIRE

ORI would like to congratulate Prof Ian Swain, who was recently made a Life Patron of the Spinal Injuries Charity INSPIRE at a function in the House of Lords. Inspire is a charity whose aim is to use technology to improve the quality of life for people with Spinal Injuries. Prof Swain has been involved with charity since its founding in 1985 and INSPIRE has funded a lot of his work over the years. He has had a number of roles within the charity as a member of the National Scientific Committee and Scientific Advisor to the Trustees, and this honour is recognition of his hugely significant contribution to the charity and clinical field. His current work is on improving hand function in people with tetraplegia.
