The ranking presents the world’s top universities according to subject areas falling under the five faculties of Arts & Humanities, Engineering & Technology, Life Sciences & Medicine, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences & Management. BU’s Faculty of Media and Communication is the home of both the National Centre for Computer Animation, and the Centre for Excellence in Media Practice, the latter being the only one of its kind in the UK awarded by HEFCE in 2004.
