On Friday, the British Council published the report Transnational Education – A Guide for Creating Partnerships in India, which provides a guide for UK universities to improve relationships with Indian institutions. Because India has become a key nation globally, there are considerable opportunities for UK universities to enter the India HE market. The report recognised that India needs innovative options in both training and education, and that long-term partnerships between the UK and India should be taken seriously. Both UK and Indian Prime Ministers have announced that 2016 will be the UK-India year of education, research and innovation: the report outlines both the opportunities and challenges that will be presented in ensuring the growth of TNE partnerships.
