The School of Tourism at Bournemouth University is a world leader in tourism research and is recognised internationally as a leading provider of undergraduate and postgraduate study.

The School has a vibrant research community and is home to two of the world’s top 10 tourism journals, as well as the International Centre for Tourism and Hospitality Research.

Our sector-specific courses in tourism, hospitality, retail, leisure, sport and events are strengthened by the School’s close links with industry, which are reinforced through enterprise and the 500 placements offered to students.

The School has a notable range of endorsements and accreditations and The Guardian University Guide 2009 & 2010 judged Tourism at Bournemouth as first and second in the country (respectively). Its courses are rated as ‘excellent’ by the Quality Assurance Agency, its research was assessed as being of national and international excellence in RAE 2008 and the School was awarded the United Nations World Tourism Organisation – Tourism Education Quality (NWTO-TedQual) accreditation for tourism provision in 2010.
