The Sim-Ortho is a virtual reality orthopaedic open-surgery simulator, designed to support clinical training. By providing feedback on complex orthopaedic procedures, it aims to recreate real-life surgery and helps students to attain a high level of proficiency without involving patients. The simulator records training data to allow for detailed evaluation of individual learning. The four modules include knee, spine, trauma and tool handling.
