Current Appointment(s): Consultant orthopaedic surgeon, Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust
Biography :
I qualified from UCL Medical School in 2005, and completed SHO jobs in Norwich and Wakefield before starting on the North West Thames Orthopaedic Rotation. I gained my CCT in Trauma and Orthopaedics in April 2017.
In 2018 I was the Hip Arthroscopy Fellow to Tony Andrade and Tom Pollard in Reading, gaining significant experience in managing young adult hip pathology and arthroscopic hip surgery. I have recently commenced the Hip Arthroplasty Fellowship with Prof Middleton in Bournemouth – I aim to gain further experience in primary and revision hip arthroplasty and periprosthetic hip fracture surgery.
My career aim is to be a Consultant Hip Surgeon with an interest in Young Adult Hip Surgery.
I am married to Davinia, and have two boys aged 4 and 2. In my spare time I enjoy running and cycling, and watching Formula 1 and Rugby Union.
Comments on time as Prof Middleton (ORI) Fellow:
I’ve only just started! However, I am very excited about the opportunities available, particularly those in both research and clinical practice.
