Professor Tom Wainwright was recently invited to give his perspective on an article in Orthopedics Today. He was asked to comment on a new piece of research comparing outcomes for fast-track inpatient vs. outpatient total knee arthroplasties. Tom concluded that this piece of research strengthens the evidence base for fast-track outpatient knee arthroplasties but emphasised the need to keep patient care as the top priority.
