Join the fun
Join us on Saturday 16 June for the first day of the festival, where we’ll transform our state-of-the-art Fusion Building into a hub of hands-on exploration of our research that is fun for all ages!
From Mini Professors sessions to archaeological escape rooms and the chance to test your pain threshold, there’s something for all ages.
And don’t miss our special guest speaker – Professor Alice Roberts – who’ll be giving two talks about the species that changed our world.
Get active
From kids’ sports camps to yoga classes, get active or try a new sport with free sessions throughout the day. Parents can also use the SportBU gym for free over the weekend.
Head to the fitness fun zone to test your skills. See if you have ninja levels of agility with our reaction wall and obstacle course; find out if you could give Ronaldo a run for his money in our 1v1 street soccer arena; test your sprint speed in our 20m dash; and experience the thrill of your feet leaving the ground with our rock climbing wall.
We’ll also have a Capoeira showcase and a kids’ garden games area.
Drop in sessions
Drop by and try our fantastic selection of fun, educational and hands-on activities for all ages. Experience virtual reality technology, explore the Science Playground, and see some of our ancient skeletons.
There’s also a fun activity room for 2-5 year olds, the chance for children to craft their own mortarboards, and science buskers.
Make sure you book our Festival for the Family day ticket to access all of the drop-in activities on campus.
