The students were lucky enough to start digging today in both Trench D and E! They were all very excited to get into the dirt and start finding archaeology. Each student were put into a feature and show the best way to remove the spoil and remove the finds. The students really got into the digging and a few finds were being discovered.
One student in Trench D was very excited to be finding bone in a shallow gully, which runs through the dig.
The finds team are also up and running with cleaning the archaeological find found on site and making sure they are recorded properly!
Small amounts of pottery, Flint, bone, teeth and lots of other archaeological finds!
Now that the students are digging hopefully more interesting finds are discovered and answers about the site can be gained!!
