From its origins in 1913, Bournemouth University (BU) has a proud history as one of the leading educational institutions in Dorset, and we remain one of the world’s top young universities. BU is a charity and a vibrant, impactful, forward-looking organisation. Our passionate and talented academics undertake research in fields as diverse as dementia care, innovative methods for early diagnosis of cancer, maritime archaeology and the protection and conservation of ecosystems under threat from climate change.

As a university, philanthropic support is crucial and a legacy gift of any size or amount could help BU continue to support our students, fund world-renowned academic research and provide the state-of-the-art learning environment to make it all possible.

Making a will is the only way to ensure your wishes will be followed after your death and makes it much easier for your family and loved ones to manage your estate. Making a will can also help minimise the inheritance tax liability on your estate. If you are interested in leaving a legacy to BU, we would be delighted to provide you with more information about any aspect of our work and all contact will be treated in the strictest confidence. Please contact Jonathan Goode, Head of Fundraising & Alumni Relations, [email protected].
