Your VP Activities is currently working with faculties and SportBU in an aim to get Wednesday afternoons free from lectures. The Faculty of management have committed to Wednesday’s being lecture-free from 1pm, and other staff members see the importance of this and will be trying to re-arrange lectures in the future where possible.
Yes – in 2016-17 SUBU created Lansdowne Fitness.
Yes – Working with SportBU, SUBU managed to schedule performances for a majority of the sports team’s half-time breaks
Yes – Working with SportBU, AFCB and Victoria Education Centre, the SUBU VP Activities and SUBU VP Welfare have now set up an ‘Inclusion Sports League’ that will be launching in October 2017, giving students with disabilities the opportunity to take part in competitive sport. This has been included in SportBU’s Participation Sports programme too!
