They\u2019d\u00a0had positive experiences with students from\u00a0the course and, with a year\u2019s work experience\u00a0under my belt, I was confident I could live up\u00a0to those expectations.\u00a0My application was successful, and I think that\u00a0the experience I gained during a year\u2019s placement\u00a0at R\/GA, an advertising agency, gave me a lot\u00a0of confidence &#8211; as well as demonstrating to my\u00a0new employers that I already had the skills they\u00a0were looking for. After six months as an intern, I was made\u00a0permanent and within nine months of joining\u00a0the company, I progressed to the role of account\u00a0executive. I think it was down to the fact that I<br \/>\nwas able to hit the ground running &#8211; starting a\u00a0career wasn&#8217;t a frightening prospect for me, thanks\u00a0to my placement.\u00a0The course itself also helped. Our lecturers had high expectations for us, so we were always on\u00a0top of our game and hungry to prove ourselves.
