Three words to describe your\u00a0placement experience:<\/strong>\u00a0\u2018Valuable Learning Experience\u2019.<\/p>\n

Most interesting part of your\u00a0placement year?<\/strong>\u00a0Having the opportunity to learn and develop\u00a0personal and technical skills.<\/p>\n

Most enjoyable aspect of your\u00a0placement year?<\/strong>\u00a0Learning new skills and developing current\u00a0skills that I can carry through into my\u00a0final year.<\/p>\n

What have you learned that you never thought you would have this year?<\/strong>\u00a0The invaluable experience of working within a business and understanding how things should and shouldn\u2019t work. Also being able to adapt to new and uncontrollable conditions that pushed me out of my comfort zone.<\/p>\n

Two tips for future placement students?<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Keep in contact with your Placement Development Advisor! They\u2019re there for a reason, so make sure you stay in contact with them.<\/li>\n
  2. Enjoy the work you will be doing. Don\u2019t be afraid to take responsibility and step out of your comfort zone.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    One example of how BU supported you during your placement:<\/strong>\u00a0The best support provided in my opinion\u00a0would be the assigned Placement Development Advisor.<\/p>\n

    One example of how your course prepared you for the placement:<\/strong>\u00a0The course taught me the key fundamental skills that were required for my placement. I could then further develop these skills throughout my time on placement.<\/p>\n

    How has your placement helped focus your future plans:<\/strong>\u00a0Throughout placement I was able to understand the direction I would like to pursue career wise. I was able to gain a better understanding of my current skill level and identify the areas I need to improve in the future.<\/p>\n
