Who wouldn\u2019t like that? SOUNDS GREAT!<\/p>\n<p>Welcome to what will be your best years!!<\/p>\n<p>After you parents have woken you up at the crack of dawn to beat morning traffic and left you behind in your new residency with your boxes and suitcases. You\u2019ll be able to make your new \u2018home\u2019 your own, filled with pictures and memories.<\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/apply-2013\/files\/2013\/09\/328711.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-667\" alt=\"Bournemouth\" src=\"http:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/apply-2013\/files\/2013\/09\/328711.jpg\" width=\"1000\" height=\"275\" \/><\/a>\n<p>Now, the fun really begins! Don\u2019t be shy to meet new people; everyone is in the same situation as you. Nerves and fear of change will be a common theme that no one will talk about, so really just break the ice and chat with everyone; you\u2019ll make some long lasting good friends here. I remember just knocking on doors and stepping into different parties, it\u2019s great. Also try to meet some people through Facebook before you even get here.<\/p>\n<p>If you still feel a bit shy, then I suggest going to the events that are organised \u2013 YES PLEASE!!! They\u2019ll help you to socialise, meet new people and join in on the parties, not to mention, build up those fresher memories you\u2019ll not forget.<\/p>\n<p>Public transport is great but do keep a good cab number handy as it may help when you\u2019re on a night out. Of course the next piece of advice is remembering your address, but it is best to go out with a group of friends, just in case you do get lost to start with.<\/p>\n<p>My Tips:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pack some painkillers; you\u2019re going to need them!<\/li>\n<li>Have a first aid kit, you\u2019re likely to use it in your first week (till you\u2019ve figured out the kitchen)<\/li>\n<li>Hair of the dog, doesn\u2019t always work for everyone.
