At some point in our academic careers us students face the dreaded day when we have to actually think about what we want to do with our lives- particularly our future careers. Our days of vague replies to friends and families seemingly favourite question: \u2018So what will you do after uni?\u2019<\/em> are unfortunately over. For most of us, it can be daunting trying to figure out what career to pursue once we depart from BU, and for some us (the lucky ones) we know exactly what we want to do. Regardless of your stance, BU\u2019s Careers and Employability<\/a> service can make this task that little bit easier.<\/p>\n

For those who have an idea of what you\u2019d like to do, the team can offer impartial advice on how you can achieve your dream career and can help with liaising opportunities such as running career fair events on campus and inviting employers to give talks to students on what they\u2019re looking for. Some very impressive companies have graced our lecture theatres – L\u2019Oreal and Law Debenture to name but a few. These opportunities can also be great for those who are still not sure what path they\u2019d like to take and can offer some inspiration on what they would like to pursue.<\/p>\n

As well as this, our careers team offer services such as workshops throughout the year to help with vital job application processes including how to write an effective CV<\/a>, filling in application forms and interviewing techniques<\/a> and practice.<\/p>\n

The team also have their very own employability blog<\/a> and Twitter<\/a> feed- so you can never miss an opportunity. And as if this wasn\u2019t brilliant enough, you can find all the job opportunities in one place on MyCareersHub<\/a> -easily accessed from MyBU<\/a>!<\/p>\n
