At the Talbot campus there is the Sir Michael Cobham Library, and at the Lansdowne campus there is the Bournemouth House Library.

The Sir Michael Cobham Library is the larger of the two libraries, spanning over five floors, hosting computers and study areas, as well as three floors of silent study areas. The library has books for a wide range of subjects studied at Bournemouth University, making it the ideal study area for students.

The Bournemouth House Library primarily stocks books for students studying health and social science courses, such as nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, nutrition, and social work. However, the facilities, including silent study, group areas, computers, and large group tables, are accessible to all students at Bournemouth University. Alongside the library facilities, in Studland House, situated across from Bournemouth House, there is a 24 hour open access area, for students to use computer facilities at any time day or night, 365 days a year.

The libraries are also host to many student services, including AskBU where students can get information, advice, and support from the team during opening hours. An important thing to account for is the opening hours for the libraries. They are relatively set throughout the year, but there are variations such as during holidays where opening hours tend to reduce, and during exam times where opening hours tend to increase.

An important final thing to know about the library services at Bournemouth University is the wide variety of resources available online through MyBU. There are thousands of online journals and articles, as well as online versions of books. These can be accessed both on and off campus, making the library resources available to students from home.

Bournemouth University has great library facilities, at both the Talbot and Lansdowne campuses, as well as online through MyBU.
