It\u2019s no secret that us students love a good night out; and luckily for us Bournemouth offers a whole host of bars, clubs and pubs to have that all important break from Uni stresses. Whether you love the hype of a club or the chilled atmosphere of a bar or pub, Bournemouth has the perfect night out for you.<\/p>\n\"img_7556\"<\/a>\n

If you haven\u2019t already heard of the infamous Cameo Wednesdays then let me give you a little run down of this fresher favourite. If you consider yourself as keen clubber whose music taste can vary throughout the night then Cameo is the place for you. With four rooms to choose from, you\u2019re guaranteed to have a brilliant night. Head to the main room or MYU bar for all things current or if you fancy some R\u2018n\u2019B then the Basement is your room. Once you\u2019ve had a few tipples and are feeling some guilty pleasure hits from the 90\u2019s and 00\u2019s then Vinyl will be there to fulfill all your cheesy needs!<\/p>\n\"lollipop\"<\/a>\n

Another hit with freshers is the Old Fire Station; and yes, it\u2019s a club in a fire station! \u00a0This is the Student Union run club which hosts the Indie lovers District event on Mondays (complete with free pizza!) or if Pop music is more your thing then Lollipop Fridays will become part of your weekly schedule. I must also mention that student club also means student prices so you can worry a little less about your bank balance! And, for those of you who would rather have a laugh than a hangover, they also hold comedy nights, which will be sure to let you escape for the night from that looming assignment deadline.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re into clubbing but find it a bit samey then Lost Gardens or Halo will restore your clubbing hopes. Lost Gardens is Bali themed sporting an exotic interior, while Halo is set in an abandoned Church- the perfect place for your-so-bad-its-a-sin dancing. These clubs have all the features of a great nightclub but offers a more unique experience.<\/p>\n\"img_1168\"<\/a>\n

A great night out doesn\u2019t necessarily have to mean clubbing. For those of you who aren\u2019t too keen on a nightclub, Bournemouth has a long list of bars and pubs for you to enjoy \u00a0too. A firm favourite with students is the Buffalo bar situated further afield in Winton. With cheap drinks and live music sessions every Tuesday, the chilled atmosphere makes this a great place to unwind with friends.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re into the more quirky bars then a hipster\u2019s haven is Sixty Million Postcards. Its interior is a mix of wooden frames, kitsch furnishings and, of course, postcards. \u00a0As well as a creative drinks menu the food is also amaze. For a more sophisticated night out, Aruba is the perfect place. Enjoy the 2 for 1 cocktails as you take in the sea view from its beachfront balcony- who said student life wasn\u2019t classy?<\/p>\n

This brief guide is literally the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the clubs and pubs of Bournemouth so no matter what you\u2019re into, you\u2019ll be sure to find a night out perfectly suited to you. As a now second year, I guarantee you that awesome memories will be made in these places; just as they were made for me.<\/p>\n
