If I’m honest, I didn’t really think about what ‘being a social worker’ meant and my reasoning for why I was doing this course was because I wanted to help people. Two years on and this has changed. I want to be a social worker because I want to be the voice of the person who can’t speak up. Being a social worker is fighting for the rights of those who can’t fight for themselves and making sure that everyone is treated with the dignity and respect that they deserve.

This course has given me the opportunity to reflect on my own morals and values and I hope to lead my practice with these at the forefront.
