Health and Social Care Mini Open Day<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you haven\u2019t quite made up your mind which Health and Social Care course is right for you and would like to visit BU to find out more, we\u2019ll be holding a Mini Open Day at our Lansdowne Campus on Wednesday 13 February. You\u2019ll have the opportunity to attend a fees and accommodation presentation and ask those all important questions, take a guided tour of the campus and meet staff and students to get a real feel for life at BU. Late Applications<\/strong><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t forget it\u2019s not too late to apply, we\u2019re still accepting applications for the majority of our courses. Our Head of Admissions, Karen Pichlmann has posted a really useful blog<\/a> on the UCAS website to help guide you through the application process. As always please don\u2019t hesitate to get in touch with us here at askBU we\u2019re on hand to help, no question is a silly question.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve missed something out!<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you have missed something off from your UCAS application then don\u2019t panic, you just need to let us know as soon as possible so we can add it to your application. What you\u2019ll need to do is contact us via email with the details of the update (include any scanned documents if you have them) plus your UCAS number then we can pass this information on to the relevant Programme Administrator for the course to amend your application.<\/p>\n

How long do I have to wait before I get a decision?<\/strong><\/p>\n

We know the waiting can be horrible so we will always aim to give you a decision as soon as we can, the process of going through applications can take a little time though. If you applied before the January 15th<\/sup> deadline then Universities should aim to inform all applicants the outcome of their application by the 31st<\/sup> of March, you then have until the 8th<\/sup> of May to make a decision on your offers. It\u2019s worth having a look on the UCAS website as they have a really helpful page with important dates<\/a> to keep in mind, definitely consider putting a few of them in your diary!<\/p>\n

Student finance<\/strong><\/p>\n

UK students will be able to apply for student finance, e.g. tuition fee and maintenance loan from February onwards. You don\u2019t need to have accepted your university\/course choice and should make sure you apply sooner rather than later to make sure you get your finance sorted in good time. Take a look at the Student Finance \u2018When and how to apply\u2019 document<\/a> for details. In fact, Student Finance England have produced lots of useful resources to help you better understand how to apply and what you will be entitled to. We suggest you take a look at some of these resources<\/a> in detail so you know exactly what to do. You can even use their calculator<\/a> to work out what you may be entitled to.
