Sandra Achim (Romania)<\/p><\/div>\n

I am Sandra Achim from Romania and I am currently studying an MSc Events Management at Bournemouth University.\u00a0 One of the best things about coming to study here is the location. You\u2019re right on the coast and there\u2019ll be something for everyone around the area. Here are my top 5 places to visit around Bournemouth.<\/p>\n

1. Durdle Door with truly breath-taking views<\/strong><\/p>\n

Durdle Door<\/a> is a must for anyone who lives in the area. The views are spectacular, and it is a perfect place where you can take amazing pictures. This is my favourite place to go and whenever I have time, I always choose to come here to enjoy the stunning views.\u00a0 It is a wonderful walking spot that has it all: greenery, sea views and one of Dorset\u2019s most photographed and iconic landmarks.<\/p>\n

2. Stonehenge-<\/strong> A journey into the past<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you have never visited the incredible Stonehenge<\/a>, you should take some time and visit this monument. There are many stories about Stonehenge, and if you want to find out more about it, make sure you pay this historical place a visit. There is also another amazing place located right next to the stones. It is a collection of small replica of Neolithic houses, which gives you the feeling that you are back in time.<\/p>\n

3. The New Forest <\/strong><\/p>\n

One of the most notable areas of Dorset and Hampshire is The New Forest<\/a> and the national park within it. This is a great place for walking or cycling. The National Park is also home to riding stables, golf courses, historical sites and many places to enjoy a drink or meal out. If you are a nature lover, The New Forest is the perfect place for you to visit.<\/p>\n

4. Portland: the cornerstone of history<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re looking for something that\u2019s a bit wild but still wonderful, make sure you visit Portland<\/a> to explore its nature and history. There is so much to explore, including a lighthouse and a castle. You\u2019ll have a fantastic time in Portland!<\/p>\n

5. Corfe Castle<\/strong><\/p>\n

The county of Dorset is home to Corfe Castle<\/a>, a village named after the beautiful castle ruin within it. Full of history, the castle is an unforgettable sight. They hold many events, such as The Purbeck Arts Week Festival and open air theatre productions.<\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t matter what captures your imagination, you can always find somewhere to go during your studies. Take a walk around it, discover new places and don\u2019t forget your camera!<\/p>\n
