I will never forget that day\u2026<\/p>\n<p>I felt very excited when I first came to the UK because this was my very first time abroad without my parents. Everything was a new challenge for me. In order to learn more about British culture early, I chose to fly with British Airways.<\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/postgraduate\/files\/2015\/09\/plane.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1703\" src=\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/postgraduate\/files\/2015\/09\/plane.jpg\" alt=\"plane\" width=\"431\" height=\"335\" \/><\/a>\n<p>The weather was sunny and it seemed to say \u201cWelcome to England\u201d to me. The first impact of the UK can be summed up in two words &#8211; \u201cgreen\u201d and \u201ccountryside\u201d. \u00a0Also when I flew over London I felt so lucky to see both the London Eye and London Bridge from the plane.<\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/postgraduate\/files\/2015\/09\/British-airways.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1700\" src=\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/postgraduate\/files\/2015\/09\/British-airways.jpg\" alt=\"British-airways\" width=\"433\" height=\"347\" \/><\/a>\n<p>National Express is a convenient transport which links you to any place in the UK. If you are landing at Heathrow airport then the service number to Bournemouth should be 205. It will take around two hours. BU also organises airport pick ups, so have a look on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www1.bournemouth.ac.uk\/study\/international\/airport-transfers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a> to find out more.<\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/postgraduate\/files\/2015\/09\/National-Express.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1699\" src=\"https:\/\/microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk\/postgraduate\/files\/2015\/09\/National-Express.jpg\" alt=\"National-Express\" width=\"448\" height=\"336\" \/><\/a>\n<p>Finally when you see ASDA on your left hand side, welcome to your second home, Bournemouth!<\/p>\n<p>Welcome Ceremony \u2013 International Commencement Ceremony<\/p>\n<p>The Welcome Ceremony is held by the university, and gives you a very big warm welcome to come and study at BU.<\/p>\n<p>This is a very good opportunity for you to meet more international students or maybe your future classmates as well as speak to your faculty staff to know more about your school directly. Wine, juice and a meal will also be prepared for you.<\/p>\n<p>The Vice-Chancellor of BU will give a welcome speech \u2013 it\u2019s really a very special occasion.<\/p>\n<p>So relax and join the friendly Welcome Ceremony with us!
