\t\t\t\t\"lina-abdulhalim\"<\/a>I love my course! I was drawn here by the amazing reputation BU has within the film industry and haven\u2019t been disappointed. It\u2019s been great learning about how the industry works. Being able to study and work with friends at university doesn\u2019t feel like an obligation, and there is a very social and relaxed environment on campus. Bournemouth in general is just incredibly chilled out.<\/p>\n

Working as a student ambassador has helped me feel part of BU. Mostly I write blogs, but I have also worked at Open Days which has really developed my confidence and skills at interacting with strangers without feeling nervous.<\/p>\n

More socially, I love the Inferno bar. They have a great variety of drinks and pretty good food that won\u2019t break the bank. It\u2019s the first place I visited when I arrived \u2013 and also the place I met my boyfriend \u2013 so it still has a special place in my heart!<\/p>\n

My arrivals advice<\/strong><\/p>\n

The most important thing for me after travelling for a long time, was to make my bed so it was ready when I needed it! I recommend packing some essential items from home, like photos and recipes for your favourite meals, as they can really help to curb any homesickness.<\/p>\n

Arrivals week was a surprise to me. Though I didn\u2019t participate much with the parties, there were lots of other activities going on which gave me essential information about going back to student life. So make sure you get involved, it might suprise you too.<\/p>\n

Once you\u2019re here, the NUS discount card is a great investment as you can use it in so many shops and online stores.<\/p>\n
