TeamBU Sports Brief
At SportBU we have men’s and women’s competitive futsal teams that compete in the British Universities and Colleges (BUCS) leagues and trophy competitions.
Leagues & Competition Information
For the 17/18 season our men’s first team will compete in Premiership South as well as the Championship competition. Our men’s second team and women’s first team will compete in Tier 1A as well as the national Trophy competition. Our men’s third team will compete in Tier 2A as well as the western Conference Cup.

Training & Conditioning
Times: Mondays 5.00pm-7.00pm, Fridays 7.30am – 9.00am (men’s), Tuesday 2.00pm-3.00pm, Thursday 4.00pm-5.00pm (women’s).
Location: Sports Hall, Talbot Campus.
As part of each team’s weekly training schedule additional specific sessions on flexibility, SAQ (Strength, Agility and Quickness) and fitness are provided by a full time Strength & Conditioning (S&C) Coach. Our coaches work alongside the S&C coach to identify areas to focus this sports specific training to improve physical strength, power and performance.
Fixtures are played at Bishop of Winchester Academy (men’s on a Sunday and women’s on a Saturday). Please come down to support our teams.
Men’s first team placed 5th in the national Championship 2016/17.
Men’s second team reached semi-final of national Trophy 2016/17.
Women’s team finished 2nd in Tier 1A in their first year competing in BUCS (2016/17).
BUCS and FA accreditation
Bournemouth University have been awarded Tier 2 FA and BUCS University Grassroots Hub Status. We work in partnership with The FA and BUCS to sustain, grow and develop the grassroots game for students and the local community to inspire every participant to love their experience of football and futsal.

Partnerships & Facilities
Athletes who have played or competed at a regional, national or semi-professional standard will be eligible to Apply for a Scholarship to support them in their sport whilst at university.
