Bournemouth University Golf 6th Team

The team is feeling very positive this week! We’ve got our full team back and its our first home match on our new course Brockenhurst Golf Club. It’s a more challenging course this year which we hope will give us a nice home advantage. The team has some quality golfers this year with some great experience playing uni matches. Jamie Smith and Jon Organ are the ones to look out for after very big wins in our first match against Southampton 1sts. Last year the 6th Team won the Western Conference Cup, so we are hoping to retain it this year and hopefully move up in the league table. The season started off great with a 6-0 win away against Southampton 1st team. Unfortunately, we had a tough away match against Exeter 5ths last week but this means we are currently sitting in 2nd place just 1 point behind Exeter 5ths in the Western 3A league.

Team:

Sarah-Jane Dalgliesh (Captain) Dan Guice (VC)
Jon Organ Craig Taylor
Jamie Smith Ben Jones

Bournemouth University Golf 2nd Team

Current form

After a heavy away win the team is feeling confident, in particular Oscar & Dave both winning by big margins. Two of our players are coming off quality performances in this years BUCS Midlands Tournament – Joe Swaine & Matt Hibbs. These two came T2 and 4th respectively and are looking to kick on from their great starts to the season.

Aspirations

Win the league. Exeter won the league last year which is the last thing we want so we need to make sure we win every game, we’ve started well but need to carry on against Bath.

Key Players

Alice Kozlowski – Winner of two BUCS events in 2nd year
Oscar Hein – Watch out for the sunglasses
