Women’s 1st Team

The Women’s first team are lucky to have a group of amazing girls playing for us this season. We’ve managed to position ourselves 3rd in the league with 2 games to go which is a very good spot to be in. We’ve also worked our way into the semi-finals of the cup which will take place next week away in Exeter and hopefully we’ll be back for the final. Look out for our two midfielders, Shannon Willis and Biff, our forward Georgie Roe and our strong defender, Fresher Katie McCann.

Men’s 2nd Team

The Mens 2nd XI are taking on Winchester 1st XI and the Women’s 1st XI are taking on Exeter University at home this week. Side line backing from both Men’s and Women’s teams not playing is expected but all support is welcome and please come to Chapel Gate (if you need transport just get the B1 yellow bus!)

As for the Men’s 2XI; we are playing well this season and have had some really good results both away and at home meaning we are currently second in the league. This is a big game to ensure we stay in our current position and are looking to reverse the previous loss after a frustrating second half with no goals. Winchester were a new team to enter the league this year and so we have only played them once before, away from home. Training has been key to preparing ourselves for this and other games in the past few weeks, a win is vital to ensuring we have enough points to stay in second place.

Look out for Ben Stevenson in Midfield who distributes the ball well and provides a good outlet from the back. In addition, strikers Andy Howorth and Will Crofts are looking to extend their goal tally and to help us secure the win!
