Match Report: Futsal wc 06/11/2017
The Futsal Men’s 3rds team have played two games this season with 1 win 1 loss. As a newly formed team we are now looking really well organised thanks to the captain Luke Murphy, keeper of the team. Our objective is to finish with a solid win on our home pitch at Avonbourne college. Although Winchester 3rds looks solid, our team have trained hard this week and are hoping for a competitive match and the opportunity to keep a winning streak going.
Kieran is the key player of the third team, he is a clinical finisher, especially in 1 v 1 situations- he can be dangerous for any opponent.
On the women’s side, BU have struggled to get a solid start to the season after suffering from two defeats in our opening two games. With the entire team comprising of first year students, we are gaining confidence each week and starting to develop into a team to reckon with. This week has seen us train alongside the men’s team and competing well! We are looking ahead to another competitive fixture against a tough Exeter side but we have faith in our ability to get a positive result.
Rebecca Prow leads the team, with her competitive nature and leadership driving the team forward. Natalie Bispham is also a player to look out for; she’s strong, quick and feisty at the back, making it difficult for any opposition to beat her.
