Week 5: Rugby #Teamtakeover
Pre Game Report
Opposition: University of Bath (1st Team)
Previous Result: 0-88
We had a difficult season last year and determined to bounce back. After a great turn out to trials we have selected a talented bunch of players with so much potential, combined with our skilled and dedicated seniors making our team even stronger. We started the season off great with a pre-season friendly and gave Cardiff Met a fight in our first game of the season. With every player on the team fighting for a TeamBU start next week it looks to be a great fixture and we’re ready to go. We’ve already made incredible development both on and off the pitch and we’ve got a win next week in our sights and our eyes on a top 3 finish this season. Every player on the team is determined to face this challenge and give 110% in every aspect and should be a great game to watch.
Players to look out for:
New recruit Jordan Lench, former Southampton Uni player joined the ranks of BU and is lifting the standard for the forwards this year. Expect a few handoffs and smashes from her on Wednesday. Experienced seniors Jenna Beretta and Lucy Sucharitkul will be linking up as our 9-10 combo and are a force to be reckoned with. We’ve got three 4-year veterans making a start on Wednesday. There’s Kiera Paul-Jones bringing a lot of pace to the line (don’t blink you might miss her). Lillie Turnbull-Jones our pack leader bringing some authority to the forwards and has only been getting better each game. Captain CJ will be back from injury in her first game of the season. Finally, but by no means least our three musketeers Hennie Vanderbyl, Neve Millar and Vice Captain Alice Hagan will be back together in the back line and packing a punch as a dangerous trio.
