Nicole Ashby is entering the BTBA Adult National Championships 2017 in which the best bowlers in the country will be taking part.
Nicole Ashby, 18, is taking part in the National Championships in the Adult division. This takes place in Nottingham on the 18th of March & will be one of the youngest players in the team. She has been bowling for 9 years and is determined to make the top 10 in her division. Bowling is more than simply throwing a ball down a lane, it’s about oil patterns, ball surface and ball type… and that’s all before even thinking about boards you stand on and angles to the pocket. This tournament will have players which have been playing for over 10 years and she is determined to bowl well and show everyone her capabilities. She took part in the Junior Nationals from the ages of 10-17 and has walked away with a good share of medals but now it is time for her to step up to the adult division.
Quote from the Coach (Glen Bailey):
‘Nationals will be the perfect stage for Nicole to show her abilities. She’s been making excellent progress in training after a short absence, working hard and this will be the perfect stepping stone to see how she fares against Englands best’
