Nam is representing Bournemouth University in competing at the world university weightlifting championships in Mexico as a representative of Great Britain & BUCS
A Couple years back Nam Ahmadi was considering hanging up his lifting shoes and stepping away from the sporting environment due to an injury. After taking a year out of competing to recover, Nam has been working very hard to get back to full fitness. He has done this through hard work and dedication every week to train and re-condition his body. His first return to competition was the British Championships in June. He battled his way to achieve his best career result so far winning a Bronze medal on the way and qualifying to represent GB at the World University Weightlifting Championships in Mexico. He is very excited for his first international competition and hopes to learn and gain as much experience as he moves forward into his senior lifting career.
Stu Martin “I am very proud of Nam; he is a dedicated athlete who commits his time to his own personal development and his team mates.”
