R&A Foundation this week confirmed funding for selected higher education institutions, including BU, to support student golf for the 2015/16 year.
This week Royal & Ancient (R&A) announced which higher education institutions have been successful in receiving grants to support student golf for the forthcoming 2015/16 year. BU have been fortunate enough to once again be selected to receive this grant from the R&A which will go towards supporting student golf in areas such as; programme development, individual coaching and green fees and representative competitions which is managed by SportBU.
This is the fifth consecutive year that BU have received a grant from R&A which strengthens the institutions position as one of the leading golf performance institutions in England in attracting many talented student golfers.
Martin Wells, Sport Performance Manager said, “We are very pleased to be one of a few institutions to receive R&A funding once again to support our high performance golf programme. This is a positive reflection on the development that we have put into our golf programme here at BU and this partnership funding will enhance the offer even further”.
