To mark National Poetry Day, we have our own Seen But Seldom Heard\u00a0<\/em>‘campaign poem’:<\/p>\n

NATIONAL POETRY DAY!!!! (<\/strong>Written by Annie Caldwell, Drama and Creative Arts, Victoria Education Centre)<\/p>\n

It’s National Poetry Day today,<\/em>
\nSo make your point and have your say<\/em>
\nThrough limerick or couplet rhyme,<\/em>
\nNow come on you can find the time<\/em>
\nOr if you can’t, just spare a thought<\/em>
\nFor those who have had time and brought<\/em>
\nA myriad of verse and rhyme<\/em>
\nThrough voice, through Dynavox and sign<\/em>
\nTo the attention of the few,<\/em>
\nWho have taken time to view<\/em>
\nThem on the You Tube link or stage,<\/em>
\nRead them on the written page.<\/em>
\nSo please be kind and spread the word,<\/em>
\nOf voices ‘Seen But Seldom Heard’<\/em>
\nWith Facebook friends please share the link,<\/em>
\nAsk them to ‘comment’ what they think.<\/em>
\nThe greater interest we can show<\/em>
\nThe better this campaign will go!<\/em>
\nWe want our project on TV!<\/em>
\nFor all of the UK to see<\/em>
\nWhat our young poets have to say<\/em>
\nAbout their lives from day to day<\/em><\/p>\n

So take a moment, spread the word<\/em>
\nOf voices, ‘Seen But Seldom Heard’<\/em><\/p>\n
